Moore’s Custom Kitchens began in the garage of Mr. William “Pete” Moore’s home in Newport News, VA, in 1985.
Mr. Moore was the Supervisor and General Manager of Colonial Kitchens of Newport News owned by Carl Hart from 1975, until he began running his own business.
Since the age of 18, Pete has worked in cabinetry and has had a love for the beauty of wood.

Established in January 1986, Moore's Customs Kitchens has been designing and building custom cabinets for over 30 years. To our company, custom cabinetry means high-quality cabinets at a reasonable cost. All of our cabinetry is meticulously handmade by our craftsmen using only the finest materials.

We use a variety of woods such as Alder, Cherry, Maple, Oak, Hickory, and Basswood. Our finishes consist of hand-rubbed, oil-based stains, with two coats of sealers and a final topcoat of high-quality cabinet grade lacquer to ensure long-lasting beauty.
We have many door styles to choose from and can usually match a custom design. We have a wide variety of handles, knobs, and hinges available.
We also supply countertops of high-definition laminate with custom edging. Our finer lines of countertops include: Corian, Granite, and Quartz. We also design and install entertainment centers, bookcases, wet bars, fireplace mantles, murphy beds, closet spaces, office spaces, and desk.
